Mid-1990s London name for jungle after the ragga MC recedes: still chopped breaks and heavy bass, now a specialist club and label school (Goldie, Moving Shadow). It hears Jungle for the grid and Jazz for pad/horn harmony on the specialist wing. The 2010s sung-chart recoding is drum and bass pop. Liquid, jazzstep, techstep, neurofunk, and jump-up stay on this node. Dub and hip-hop wait one step back through jungle. Dubstep hears jungle, not this rename.
